To be honest (please note that we are always honest) Covasna County does not offer major touris attractions. Potential there is but there is also bad administration, careless authorities, "no immediate gains no activity" kind of mentality, pretty much the entire post communist transition package you usually get in these kinds of forgotten places.

However, there are plenty of things worth mentioning. Some of the best Romanian recipes have oroginated in Covasna County (see the Kurtos Kalacs for example) and also some of the nicest folk traditions. However, the total lack on interest of the authorities and the migration of the youg to other more developed Counties have ruined Covasna quite much.

If you are not a big fan of luxury and want to spare some money while having fun you can choose Covasna as your destination. Prices here are cheaper and you can even find skiing resorts, not as developed as those in the neighbouring county of Brasov, but with very low prices and acceptable quality.

Don't expect much of the infrastructure as nobody seems to care about it and try to enjoy the clean air, the dellicious food and the nice people.
