Romanians can be a pain the ass if you don't know them. Almost everyone on the street is rude and many of the young in rough neighbourhoods look like gangsters of some sort but fortunately these are most of the times unfortunate appearances caused by 50 years of Russian communism and lack of contact with the western world. If you get to know Romanians they are usually surprisingly devoted friends who love to chat with foreigners about all sorts of subjects. Usually Romanians will surprise you with their abundant knowledge on general matters and their lack of ability to do something with that knowledge. Anyway, being friend with a Romania fellow might be one of the most interesting experiences you ever had so go for it!
