Romania, land of choice
On 5th of June, the Romanian Ministry of Tourism presented the country’s international promotion video in Paris, France, in the presence of the Tourism Minister Elena Udrea, former tennis player Ilie Nastase and former Romanian gymnast Nadia Comaneci. Also Paris City-hall and French Tennis Federation officials attended the ceremony.
Tourism Ministry Elena Udrea said:
"I hope the number of foreign tourists coming to Romania this year will increase by at least 10 % in the wake of our tourism-promotion campaign. The ministry chose Paris to as the venue for the beginning of the campaign owing to strong ties between Romania and France. Bucharest was once called The Little Paris." She also said: "We hope Bucharest will return to being The Little Paris".
