Miss Universe Romania 2009
Romania is participating in the Miss Universe Competition for the first time in 11 years!
Miss Universe Romania 2009, Elena Bianca Constantin, was crowned on June 27 in Bucharest in a show attended by Miss Universe 2008 Dayana Mendoza.
Elena Bianca will represent Romania in Bahamas at the Miss Universe Contest, taking place on August 23rd.
Elena Bianca was born on 20 May 1989 in Piatra Neamt and she, as many other beauty contests winners, is studying law. She speaks English and French and is passionate about driving and shopping.
"As a result of Romania’s participation in Miss Universe, we will have an opportunity to demonstrate once again that Romanian women are truly among the world’s top beauties," said a statement on the official Miss Romania website.
Mendoza was a member of the jury who decided who would represent Romania in this year's competition.
