Costinesti – Not for the fainthearted!!!

Jeopardy, 1000USD question: “The cheapest summer beach resort around the world”… And YES, the answer is “What is Costinesti?”.

Well this is the real deal. If you are looking for fun you’ll get more than you’ll pay for. Costinesti was build during communist times to accommodate the students during their summer vacation and 20 years after it's still the most popular destination among them. As a youngster you are not an accomplished one if you never dated around the famous Obelics pillar, the signature of Costinesti beach or if you never swam to the famous ship wreck to prove you have balls. You can go there without reservations because you’ll find something good for you. Anyway most youngsters going there are there for fun in discos all night long and they sleep during the day on the beach.

Why to go to Costinesti?

The C of Costinesti stands for “Cheapest beer, cheapest food, cheapest accommodation” on the Black Sea Coast. With these three combined you’ll find there mostly students that are experiencing life at maximum.

Why NOT to go?

Loud music! There are lots of disco clubs in the open and it’s impossible to have a night to listen to the crickets. The good news is that while in Costinesti you stop thinking about crickets.

When to go?

Any time from May 1st to September 30th. The high season is June, July and August. However, try being there on 1st and 2nd of May every year. Everybody is there for a one night stand. If you know the words of “Maiyahi” the famous song of O-Zone you know what this article is talking about.

How to get there?
